The Best Brunch Spots on Guernsey

Across the Islands of Guernsey you'll find a range of excellent brunch spots. Whether you are looking for a leisurely catch-up with friends or a tasty place to refill before exploring the islands, a classic fry-up or vegan wellness juices, there is a place to suit everyone. Around the Islands there is a great use of seasonal produce, al fresco dining spots and cosy cafés to unwind in when it starts to get chilly. 

In Town

Starting in St Peter Port, these restaurants and cafés are easily accessible if you are staying in town, and great for a break between sightseeing and island hopping. 

Christies Brasserie

Timings: 9am - 11:30am

You'll find Christies in the centre of town offering a warm welcome and great hospitality. The brasserie is a great spot for a long brunch, good coffee and maybe a mimosa if you're tempted. The menu includes English classics, lighter bites and everything in between. Cosy in the winter and offering views out over the harbour from their terrace perfect for summer dining, it's a year-round favourite.

Coco Mini Brasserie

Timings: 7am - 4pm

Walk towards Castle Cornet to find this social hub with views of both the Harbour and Havelet Bay. Coco is a modern, French Mini Brasserie, so don’t let its small size and calm demeanour fool you. From freshly baked croissants and pastries to omelettes, smoothie bowls and more, this extensive brunch menu will cater to everyone’s wishes.

Cafe Emelia

Timings: 8am - 11:45am

Cafe Emilia is right in the heart of town and offers a wide range of brunch classics and Portuguese twists. Whether it’s a freshly baked cake and coffee or a full English you’re looking for, their friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere are on hand to help you find your perfect breakfast. With a kids-specific brunch menu as well as veggie and vegan options, this cafe is suitable for the entire family.

Crepe Maison

Timings: 8am - 12pm

A family owned bistro and patisserie, you can enjoy traditional Breton galettes, crepes, homemade sourdough bread, and pastries to enjoy alongside a specialised brunch menu. Crepe Maison has a wide variety of vegan and gluten-free options available too, catering to everyone’s tastes 7 days a week. With views out over the sea and neighbouring islands, it's a great spot to enjoy the morning sunshine. 

Dix Neuf

Timings: 8:30am - 12pm

Located in the bustling Arcade just off the main shopping street in town with a European-style al fresco terrace area, Dix Neuf offers a menu that balances traditional and modern dishes, whilst still offering a nod to the French classics it takes inspiration from. It's a great spot to enjoy a coffee and a pastry, watch town go by and get a feel for local life.

Muse

Timings: Monday - Friday 8am - 11:30 | Saturday 9am - 2pm

Muse is a bright and airy café located in the heart of the smart residential and financial district of St Peter Port, on the outskirts of the main town. Offering a mixture of continental treats, delicious coffees, and filling dishes to set you up for the day; Muse’s calm, quiet and welcoming environment makes it the perfect place to enjoy brunch. With vegan and veggie options, Muse is a good spot for all eaters. The location is also ideal for fuelling up before an early boat to Herm or Sark, with the harbour departure point only a few minutes walk.

The Hideaway

Timings: 8am - 11:30am

The Hideaway Patisserie and Brasserie is quite literally hidden away above the centre of town, with views outside on the terrace looking out over the harbours and cobbled streets. Ideal for a moment of peace to watch the world go by, their menu caters for vegetarians and vegans alike.

Red Grill-house and Cocktail bar (very occasionally)

Timings: Very occasional Sundays, look on their website for upcoming dates.

One of the finest restaurants on the Island, brunch at Red is a rare treat that never disappoints. Sunday brunch is available only a few times per year, usually around bank holiday weekends, so watch their website for upcoming dates in order to get your hands on one of these gold-dust bookings.

 

The Brasserie at the OGH 

Timings: Saturday and Sunday 10:30am - 2pm

Formerly the official residence of the Island’s Governor, the Old Government House (or the OGH) was transformed into a luxury hotel with a boutique restaurant. Serving brunch at the weekend until 2pm, you’re guaranteed a relaxed meal perfect for a catch-up with friends.

 

Around the Island

St Pierre Park

Where: Rohais

Timings: Weekdays 7:30am - 9:30am | Weekends 8am - 10:30am

St Pierre Park boasts some of the most extensive hotel grounds on the Island, with a golf course, driving range, swimming pool and play area all situated within the grounds. A 20-minute walk outside of town, the hotel is a great spot for family brunch. The in-house chef’s specialities include Scottish smoked salmon with sourdough, butter and lemon as well as smashed avocado on toast, and more.

Nineteen Bar and Grill

Where: Rohais de Haut

Timings: Monday - Sunday 8:30am - 11am (Closed Tuesdays)

Nineteen can be found just outside of town at The Golf Club. The menu during the week is simple and easy, perfect to grab something quick to get you ready for the day. Their weekend brunch menu is expansive and caters for all, and with plenty of room inside, and a driving range and mini golf as entertainment, it's a great place for a fun morning. 

Hotel de Havelet - The Wellington Boot

Where: Havelet

Timings: 7am - 10am

If you want some of the best views over the East Coast of the Island, looking out over Castle Cornet, the harbour and the neighbouring Islands in the Bailiwick of Guernsey, join us for brunch at the Wellington Boot. Walking distance from Saint Peter Port, but outside of the hustle and bustle of the main town, at the well-established Hotel De Havelet, you can sit down for a variety of available options from the brunch menu, enjoying the peace and quiet with friends and family.

Good Rebel

Where: Admiral Park

Timings: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 11:30am | Saturday 8am - 3pm | Sunday 9am - 3pm

Good Rebel and offers fresh, healthy and (some) rebellious dining options for brunch. Alongside a mix of wellness juices and shots is a creative and modern menu catering to a variety of tastes. At the weekend, the brunch menu is available until 3pm, giving you more than enough time to relax either inside or at the al fresco dining area. Admiral Park is easily accessible along the seafront by foot or bike and Good Rebel also has parking just around the back, making it simple to visit. 

 

The Kiln

Where: Oatlands Village

Timings: 9am - 11:30am

With beautiful gardens, good food and a playground and mini golf course just around the corner, The Kiln offers the perfect family morning out for brunch. With a wide selection of options available on the menu, this hidden gem is located in Oatland Village in the countryside of Guernsey, giving you the opportunity to see a different side of the Island with plenty of family activities.

The Farmhouse

Where: St Saviours

Timings: Breakfast 7:30am - 10am | Brunch 10:30am - 12pm

Food is at the heart of The Farmhouse, an award-winning 4* boutique hotel & restaurant in the countryside of Guernsey. With a focus on local, organic and Fairtrade products, the Farmhouse caters for all dietary requirements. Bus route 71 offers a regular door-to-door service from St. Peter Port, and there is ample parking, meaning this out-of-the way brunch spot is easily accessible.
